Vita: After graduating from law school in 1980, Prof. Shaw practiced criminal law as a prosecutor and public defender for nine years.  He draws on this experience in both his teaching and his research as a social psychologist.

Research interests: eyewitness memory; eyewitness confidence; attitudes about genetic testing
