The Department of Psychology's two student interest groups--Psychology Club and Psi Chi--are very active in department life. Students organize and host a variety of events each semester, including talks, panels, graduate school information sessions, registration peer-mentoring, and film screenings.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

Mission: The purpose of this club is to aid the student body in creating and stimulating interest in the professional and intellectual realms of psychology and related fields.  Psychology Club is open to all psychology majors.  You can join the club in the Lafayette Our Campus Portal

Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology)

The mission of Psi Chi is to produce a well-educated, ethical, and socially responsible member committed to contributing to the science and profession of psychology and to society in general.

Requirements for Induction to the Lafayette College Chapter of Psi Chi: be at least a 2nd Semester Sophomore, have taken at least 3 psychology courses, have declared a major or minor in psychology, be in the top 35% of your graduating class in GPA (w/ a minimum GPA of 3.0), and have a minimum 3.0 GPA in psychology courses. Eligibility for Psi Chi is determined at the beginning of each semester.  Invitations to join Psi Chi are extended in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
